Photographic Travel Journal Workshop
in Cornwall, ENGLAND
with Jean Fogelberg
SEPTEMBER 18th - 27th, 2017
This workshop is limited to 8 participants.
This workshop will be equal parts gallivant, photography workshop, and writers retreat. All levels of photography and writing experience are welcome.
As we explore the areas that gave birth to the legends of King Arthur and Avalon, we will create photographic, informative, and engaging Travel Journals which can be shared with family and friends, printed in book form at the end of our journey, or kept private.
We will be based out of Penzance (of "The Pirates of Penzance" fame) at the Tremont Guest House B&B. We will wander, dine, discuss, shoot and write, and for four days our professional tour guide, Steve Crummay, will lead us to some of the most beautiful and scenic sites in Cornwall, including Tintagel Castle; Mousehole Village; Penberth Cove; Porthgwarra Cove (where Poldark has filmed); and historic stone monuments.
We will be staying at the Tremont Guest House, a lovely B & B right in the heart of Penzance. The property has a good sized room that will make an ideal classroom for us, plus a dining room where we can have breakfast and lunch. All rooms are private with en-suite bathrooms.

Class and excursion schedules aren't set in stone -
they will be arranged to fit opportunities, weather,
and the wishes and needs of the workshop participants.
Daily breakfast and some lunches are included, provided by our on-site restaurant at Tremont Guest House. We will provide fresh, healthy meals to feed our bodies and brains.
Lunch is not provided on our 2 day excursions or on our 2 days off.
For dinner, we'll dine together at one of the wonderful local restaurants (not included in workshop price; participants are responsible for most of their own dinners and beverages). Some people may need alone time after the intensive work we will be doing, and there is always the option of staying at the B & B and either eating at their restaurant or having take-out in your room.
Participation in group meals or free day activities is at your discretion.
Coffee and tea will be included in the mornings, plus iced tea or juice with lunch. Specialty coffees, such as espresso will be available for an additional cost.
If you wish to order different or additional items apart from what is offered with our set lunches you are welcome to do so, and these can be charged to your room and paid for at check-out.
Day trips to amazing locations, local events, and shopping will keep our feet on the ground.
On the days off there will be plenty of shopping opportunities or a chance to go to the beach.
We can also arrange trips to some of the other renowned and mystical spots in the area.
When the weather permits, we will begin with a Sunrise Shoot (optional - we respect the late risers among us),
then we'll get together for breakfast before starting classes.
