Astrology Relative to Our Times:
Co-creating the Waves of Change

Jeff Jawer & Rick Levine
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico o

March 7th ~ 13th, 2010

Jeff Jawer and Rick Levine will be leading this retreat in beautiful Colonial San Miguel de Allende, founded in 1542, a jewel of a city set in the romantic high desert of central Mexico.

During these 6 days, these brilliant, and highly entertaining astrologers will lead an interactive journey of exploration with the workshop participants, into how astrology can cast a light onto these new and confusing times we are entering. We stand to reap the benefits of their vast intellectual resources, humor and personal and professional experience.

We are in the midst of powerful planetary changes that are altering the ways in which the world works and how we see ourselves in it. Astrology is uniquely capable of describing the course of transformation that began with the opposition of Saturn and Uranus in the fall of 2008. The pace of change is likely to increase as Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto lock into a T-square in dynamic cardinal signs in the second half of 2010, leading up to a powerful series of squares between Uranus and Pluto from 2012-2015.

This seminar will focus on ways to apply these radical energies for individual and collective growth. Rick and Jeff will dig deeply into the symbolism and history of these cycles to unveil meaning and provide means for experiencing them with the greatest level of awareness possible. In addition to this in-depth strategic analysis of these major trends, they will examine the birth chart of each attendee to explore how these changes are best applied on an individual level. The material will be presented with the sensitivity, wisdom and encouragement that Jeff and Rick have developed within their own counseling practices of over 30 years each.

Rick and Jeff's capacity to bring complex concepts down to earth makes this an ideal seminar for astrology beginners, advanced students and professionals. Instead of passively watching change as helpless bystanders, the language of astrology will illuminate the incredible challenges and opportunities of these times in ways to help us fulfill our human potential and consciously create our future together.

To attend this workshop, basic understanding of the signs, planets and houses will be helpful, and this can be easily gleaned through a little preliminary reading. However no experience is too much or too little, just come with a completely open mind.

We will be professionally recording the workshop, which will be available for purchase on the following website at a later date.

We do respectfully ask that participants not use any form of recording device during this workshop. Thank you for understanding.

The workshop is being held at the public library in San Miguel, which is in a wonderfully central location, literally in the heart of the town.

San Miguel has a plethora of accommodation options in all price ranges. We have reserved the whole of a lovely little complex, aptly named Casa Crayola, because it is so wonderfully colourful! This is an ideal spot for those looking for something cosy yet affordable.

It will be 1st come, 1st serve, and will be shared occupancy only. The casitas are around$75 per night, with some doubles and a few triples for that price.

The owners are offering an additional package of airport transfers (from Leon) and daily breakfasts for $110 per person. Please inform them if you want this package when you make your reservation.

We at Heaven and Earth have booked the whole facility, but you can make reservations directly though Casa Crayola; please cc Evelyn in any and all communications. There is space for about 16 people at Casa Crayola, double or triple occupancy. All of these places are reserved solely for workshop participants, so if you are travelling with someone not attending the workshop, please either stay at Casa Caldiero (below), or look for alternative accommodations. We are happy to assist in whatever way we can with this.

The centro of San Miguel, major shopping areas, and the workshop venue itself, are a short 5-7 minute walk away. Within a block are several internet cafes, two bakeries, a small has-everything store, and a pharmacy.

Casita amenities include: Cable TV; Wireless Internet Access; Kitchenette with Microwave, Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, and Cooking Utensils; Linens; Gardens & Fountains; Maid Service.

For those participants looking to make this a slightly more luxurious experience, the place we recommend is Casa Calderoni, it is literally one minute from the Biblioteca, and central to everything, but on a gorgeous little quiet side street.

This little gem is beautiful, Heaven and Earth has reserved the whole facility and we have been given a special discount, so prices are between $88 and $112 a night, breakfast included. There are currently 8 rooms available.

Again these rooms are reserved only for workshop participants, so when booking directly through them, mention our programme and please cc Evelyn on all communications. If you have a spouse or friend traveling with you not participating in the programme but sharing your room, this might be the ideal place for you.

For alternative accommodation options

There is something for every budget to be found in this area, from the simplest and most affordable to the utmost "lap of colonial luxury". If several people are traveling together they may want to look into sharing a house.

The budget conscious may also consider the following:

Global Freeloaders
A wonderful site for those willing to host someone else in their own home, no charges or fees involved...

Homes for Exchange

Another great site that goes a long way in helping people to keep travelling, and very often in great comfort.

It is advisable to book accommodations as early as possible, as places do fill up.

Pre ~ Workshop Event in Support of LifePath Retreat Centre

This is a wonderful healing centre in San Miguel de Allende, and they count as one of our main supporters in this lovely, progressive community. Their wonderful staff will be joining us for a pre-workshop presentation by Rick and Jeff, with a focus on world astrology, particularly that pertaining to Mexico and the Americas. This portion of the workshop will be open to the general public and held on March 6th, from 2:00 pm ~ 5:00 pm in the Teatro Santa Ana. This theatre is also in the Biblioteca, payment of 50 pesos to be made at the door.
